About WALVAC

We make a difference in the lives of people during a very traumatic time in their life by meeting their emergent medical needs.

Our Mission

The Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps (WALVAC) was founded in 1951. For more than 70 years, WALVAC has been a vital part of the Waldwick community by providing the best care for medical and traumatic emergencies throughout the Borough of Waldwick and surrounding towns, as well as ensuring the safety of all at town events and standbys for fires, severe weather, and sporting events.

What we Do

911 Emergency Response

WALVAC provides emergency medical services to the Borough of Waldwick and its neighboring towns through mutual aid.

Event Standby

WALVAC provides non-emergent service requests such as stand-by for community events.

Ambulatory Aids

WALVAC maintains a supply of gently used wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes.
